The School of Early Learning is a candidate IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme with a focus on the Early Years. They build partnerships with families and the community to create opportunities in which children are listened to, respected, mentored and challenged, so that they can be local, national, international and global citizens. Their philosophy and practice is influenced by that of the Municipal Schools of Reggio Emilia, Rudolf Steiner, Maria Montessori, and the International Baccalaureate, which promote positive learning environments.
Being the very first location for this Childcare business, the refurbishment of the Nedlands property came with the requirement of maintaining the historical integrity of the original centre, while meeting today’s current criteria.
All walls were treated to become interactive play and learning surfaces with the installation of pin boards and mirror boards. Illuminated signage was installed to warmly greet people as they enter the space and an art hanging system was fixed to the ceiling for the display of masterpieces.
A great result for a well-established, community focused childcare group.
